DESCRIPTION

DATE: February 1, 8, 15, & 22

TIME: 10 am - 2 pm

LOCATION: Everett SPEEA Union Hall (2414 106th St. SW, Everett, WA 98204)

This course is taught in FOUR 4-HOUR SESSIONS (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) on Saturday, February 1st, 8th, 15th, & 22nd.  You are siging up to attend ALL sessions.

Class size is limited to 11 people.

There will be breaks throughout the session.

STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING A Windows or Mac computer. This must be a personal computer and not one issued by your workplace.

 

This training WILL NOT be recorded.

OBJECTIVES

Participants will learn:

This series of workshops introduces participants to the fundamentals of drone technology, covering RC Drone construction and architecture, flight dynamics, functionality, and component integration. Participants will engage in hands-on activities to build, customize, and program their own drones, applying knowledge of electronic hardware, soldering, CAD design, and aeronautical engineering in wind tunnel testing.

 

 

COURSE INSTRUCTORS

 

 

Raul Villanueva - Mechanical Design Engineer at Kenworth Trucks. Graduated from UW Seattle in Electrical Engineering where they formed part of diversity clubs and co-founded AVELA.

 

 

Stephany Ayala-Cerna - Stephany is an Avionics Systems Design Engineer at Boeing.  She is a graduate student at the UW focusing in Electrical Engineering, and is also involved in affinity groups such as the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and the Institute of Elecrical and Electronic Engineers Women in Engineering (IWWW WiE).
